In addition to peer-reviewed publications in the scientific and social science literature, we develop three products for Planning and Action: (1) Practical Tools, (2) Policy and Strategic documents, and (3) Consultancy Reports.
A Successful New Approach to Environmental Restoration and Improving Livelihoods in Degraded East African Highlands – by Scott Jones (2016). Download here
African Mountain Forests – Current Status, Critical Issues, and Ways Forward for Conservation. Conference proceedings edited by Scott Jones (2016). Download here
Draft Principles for Justice and Equity in Access to and Distribution of Benefits From Ecosystem Services in Protected Areas – by Nigel Dudley, Catie Burlando, Rosie Cooney, Scott Jones, and Trisha Kehaulani-Watson (2016). Download here
We regularly produce practical reports, CDs, video and other tools for clients that they use to take their work forward. One recent example for a large Housing Association was a Residents’ Toolkit in three parts: 1) Community Appraisal and Mapping, 2) Designing and Delivering Successful Projects, 3) Successful Meetings – Managing Self and Supporting Others.
Policy and Strategic Planning Documents
We are regularly commissioned for policy research and strategic planning support for agencies, governments and businesses. We recently completed a policy and strategy review for the United Nations Man and Biosphere Programme for a tri-nation biosphere reserve that is being used to develop funding proposals and conduct negotiations for planning and action.
Our Evaluation, Research and Training activities almost always include simple, clear reports for planning and action, developed in close cooperation with our clients.
