Afua Yeboa-Henaku

Afua brings effective communications and strong interpersonal, IT and accounting skills to her work as Mind the Gap’s administrator. She formerly worked as an assistant accountant and assistant librarian before joining the UK Environment Agency as a monitoring and data assistant. Afua is currently completing the last year of a BSc in Environmental Science.

Her interest in environmental degradation and its human consequences, particularly in Africa, runs in parallel with interests in human development and people’s livelihoods.

She worked for several years in Africa as a part-time volunteer promoting environmental awareness, and helping to motivate young people into productive activities and getting them off the streets.

Afua won first prize for her work in a waste management project for a national Fair in Botswana. Her hobbies include journalism and poetry writing, voluntary work with children, music and environmental conservation.
