Afua recently gained first class honours in her BSc Environmental Science to add to her strong accounting interpersonal, communications and IT skills. She recently worked for a year with the Environment Agency as data & monitoring assistant.

Her interest in environmental degradation and its human consequences, particularly in Africa, runs in parallel with interests in human development and people’s livelihoods. She worked for several years in Africa as a part-time volunteer promoting environmental awareness, and helping to motivate young people into productive activities.

Afua won first prize for her work in a waste management project for a national Fair in Botswana. Her hobbies include journalism, poetry writing, voluntary work with children, music and environmental conservation.
