Communities and Partnerships
In Britain, Mind the Gap provides skilled facilitation and capacity building mainly in:
- Local Strategic Partnerships, Sustainable Community Strategies, Local Area Agreements and Locality Working, Neighbourhood Management, Community Cohesion, Diversity
- Computer training and IT - skills development and confidence building
- Biodiversity action planning and partnerships
We also work with agencies, regulators and service providers on practical approaches to strengthening partnership work.
Internationally, Mind the Gap generally works with UN agencies, local and international non-government organisations, and through international development assistance organisations.
Much of our activity involves participatory approaches to community engagement and working with diversity in communities and partnerships. Mind the Gap provides diversity training and support that goes beyond compliance and focusses on the added value that diversity actually brings.
We have written up a UK example of community and partnership work (see Kingfisher Project). Further case studies will follow. An international example of private sector partnership research and capacity building may be found here. |
