Jestina works full-time in Sierra Leone as a community liaison officer for a three-year Darwin Initiative project. She liaises with communities, project staff, and staff from a large, multi-national mining company for a project that is working on partnership development and consensus-building for land restoration in post-conflict mining areas.
Between 2005 and 2006 Jestina worked as a Class II teacher at UBC Primary School, Mogbwemo. Before that she worked as a local liaison officer and Programme Secretary for the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) a pan-African Non Government Organization promoting girls’ and women’s education.
Since graduating from Impere Secondary School, Jestina has attended workshops on conflict management, peace building and HIV/AIDS.
