Mind the Gap is pleased to share the launch of the community engagement phase of the AMPHoRA research project on human health, nutrition, and air pollution from agriculture in the UK. Over the course of the three-year project, Mind the Gap will lead a series of consultation meetings with community members in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. These meetings will help ensure that the public’s voice is represented in the scientific research the AMPHoRA team is producing, and in the policy suggestions that come from this research. Community meetings will focus on topics related to food production, diets, agricultural air pollution, climate change, the environment, and human health at local and UK-wide scales.
We will share regular project updates, including summaries of community meetings, on the AMPHoRA project website. Reach out to us if you’re interested in learning more about our community engagement process or the AMPHoRA project.
AMPHoRA stands for Assessing Mitigation Pathways to Realise Public Health Benefits of Air Pollutant Emission Reductions from Agriculture. Project funding comes from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), which funds NHS research to find out what works best for our health, and how we can afford it.
